Introduction to Locations for Film & TV

Day 1: What is the Locations Department? You will learn about the structure, purpose and remit of the locations department and how to get into working in locations. We’ll explore what makes a ‘good’ location including real examples. We’ll talk about scouting! How it works, why it happens, and what to look for.

Day 2: Breaking down a script. We will pick out a few locations from the script OR use our favourite scenes from films/tv shows and head out around Swansea to scout! We’ll regroup to talk about how we might film in the scouted locations.

Diwrnod 1: Beth yw'r Adran Leoliadau? Byddwch chi’n dysgu ynghlyn a strwythur, diben a cylch gwaith yr adran leoliadau a sut i gael i mewn i yrfa yn yr adran. Byddwn ni’n darganfod beth sy'n gwneud lleoliad 'da' gan gynnwys enghreifftiau go iawn. Siaradwn ni am sgowtio! Sut mae'n gweithio, pam mae'n digwydd a beth i chwilio amdano.

Diwrnod 2: Dadansoddi sgript. O hyn byddwn yn dewis ychydig o leoliadau o'r sgript NEU yn defnyddio ein hoff olygfeydd o ffilmiau/rhaglenni teledu ac yn mynd o amgylch Abertawe i sgowtio! Byddwn yn cwrdd i siarad am sut y gallem ni ffilmio yn y lleoliadau a sgowtiwyd.
